hula girl? bobble head dog? rock?
the cathy santoni's had our first real rehearsal. it was dreamy.
our audience was a hula girl, a bobble head dog and a rock.
we have two new songs. there are now 8. in other news i started school. in
other other news i barely have time to take a shit.

well here i am.
i have a lot of stuff to do so it stands to reason that i'd work on something like a band logo. and then post it on my blog for feedback. i'm a nerd. i know. you don't need to tell me.
here are a few poll questions for you all to answer in the comments box:
1. do you want to see a rough idea for a "band logo"? it's not exciting. it's like doodling on a computer:
any comments, feedback, or criticisms are welcome. as usual.
2. do you want to hear some cathy santoni's songs? we have written seven so far and recorded six of them roughly. i am afraid for anyone to hear them. but i will post a couple if you want.
3. do you all still want your cds? i gotta redo them again. i don't know what i'm doing. okay i'm going to go do something else and stop being self-deprecating.

my prayers have been answered
i now share my birthday with britney spears' son.
hurrah.
it's my party and i'll rock out if i want to
soooooooooo
last night....
i saw....
JOAN JETT!!
and if you all know me, you would know that I am pretty much one of the
hugest joan jett fans in the world. okay maybe not, i mean i'm not
*psychotic* or anything.
anyway last night, Joan played in downtown chicago (in grant park) and it
was awesome. first of all, it was free. secondly, we were right up front
as usual. thirdly, it was the best jj show i've ever seen. the sound was
great, the energy was high and the skyline was in the background. awesome.
did i mention it was awesome?
so me, mj, jill, brian and mike all went. brian didn't like it. some
people just don't get it. mike had fun but he doesn't dance. but we three
ladies were freaking out. like out of our minds. afterwards we waited for
her to come out and she talked to us, i took aphoto of mj and jill with
her on my camera phone (and then proceeded to accidentally delete it).
then one of the bodyguards said "those were your craziest fans, they were
dancing a lot " or something like that and she said 'i know, i saw them".
and she asked our names. she said i had a cool name. we're on a first name
basis now.
sigh. what a rock star.
in other news the cathy santoni's really are playing a show at the end of
october. i got a bass guitar and i've been practicing playing an dsinging.
i don't know how to play bass though so it's pretty simple stuff so far.
i'm enjoying this "band" thing.
xo everybody!

i have a TON of photos (like over 300) that i want to share with you all.
but maybe i'll pare it down a bit. i got my masters degree in the mail
today. it is fan-cy.
uhm i can't remember what i wanted to say now but i think it was very
important at the time.
the other day i got sad about something and before i could get too sad,
mike freaked out and said "puppies bunnies puppies bunnies cupcakes hello
kitty". and it actually worked. who knew i was so simple minded?
whoaaaaa duuuuuude
hi kids
uhm let's see what's going on in the happiest blog in the whole wide world
mind of me...*sneeze*, oh excuse me.
i'm not going to be a bummer anymore because well i'm happy happy happy
mike's birthday was friday and i got him some delicious food from cedars
of lebanon as a surprise. he was surprised all right! and i made brownies
and put 35 candles into them. it burned my face a little when i was
carrying it. but he was pretty surprised to see that too.
then the next day we went to a white sox game, and then we went to the
falcon where we danced and danced. yes, mike danced. DANCED. like a MOFO.
i heard it was the talk of the town the next day. oh yeah and the sox won
so there was a cool fireworks display afterwards. nothin's better than
eatin' some smuggled peanuts and drinkin some smuggled wildwood cola next
to yer best guy way up in the back row when yer teams winnin. or
something. (my attempt at being a 50's teen boy)
sunday we went to a family party where mike got such cool things as cards,
money, shirts, and a DVD/VCR combo, with a DVD burner. wow the world sure
is crazy these days!
in other news, my birthday is next week and joan jett is having a free
show in grant park on sept 13 (tues) who wants to go?! i can't believe
i'll be 24. wowzer dood.
my shoes are broken and mike keeps taping them up with duct tape but i
think it's time to get new ones.
we finally unpacked all our clothing so we could donate it. feels good
that i no longer have boxes and boxes of my clothes staring at me everyday
saying "why don't you wear us? we love you mommy"
i'm sad because i don't think we got on the amazing race.
the cathy santoni's are playing a show in october. i'm going to vomit
already of nervousness.

he's okay.
fats domino is missing.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050901/ap_on_en_mu/katrina_fats_domino
"I think there ought to be zero tolerance of people breaking the law
during an emergency such as this whether it be looting, or price gouging
at the gasoline pump, or taking advantage of charitable giving or
insurance fraud," Bush said. "And I've made that clear to our attorney
general. The citizens ought to be working together."
I wish i could be this simple minded. life must be quite easy for him when
he only has to consider things from his own point of view. people are
desperate, dude.
