grading papers:
how i feel about it
aggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
in other news the landlord turned on the heat last night. I promptly got
steam "all up in my face" and burned my hand. this lead to me crying like
a baby. it was very poetic.
here is how it went down:
1. steam explodes, scares me
2. i lose it, just like steam exploding
3. mike says "can we still make the bagels?!" <---point fr anyone who
gets the reference
4. all of the stress i'm feeling lately just kind of overwhelms me at
that point.
5. i yell at mike and don't at all appreciate his culturalreference
6. i cry.
see the metaphor between me and the radiator?
sorry i have to go to my introduction to linguistics class now. yes
really.

my embarrassing word usage for the day
i just sent an email to someone in which i said "we are all in agreeance".
Then i was like hey self that sounds weird, but i couldn't think of what
word i would want to use instead. I tried to look it up on dictionary.com
but for some reason the connection was too slow so i went ahead and sent
it. then when the dictionary.com page finally loaded it said:
Main Entry: agreeance
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: the act of agreeing
Example: Usage of the site constitutes agreeance with these terms.
Usage: considered obsolete and a bastardization of 'agreement'
that was embarrassing huh. grad school is too hard i'm dumm and i use
obsolete bastardized words. whatever that means.

why
is it so cold already?
and why won't my landlord turn on the heat? dude, just because you don't
have to turn it on until a certain date doesn't mean it's not already
freezing in our apartment and has been since the middle of september.
every morning when i get up I feel like laura ingalls wilder. and while
actually being laura ingalls was like a huge dream of mine when i was a
child, come on. it is 46 degrees outside and even colder in here. do you
know how much harder that makes it for me to get up early and go to this
bullshit orientation thingy that i already don't want to go to?
seriously.
