who likes school? i do i do.
so school started today. it was good. i like it here. everything is pretty. everyone is unbelievably dorky and/or weird. who knew that somewhere, there was an oasis of dorky lame-o's just (un)like me? well luckily, my friends, there is. and we are all pretty good at it. i had to go to a statistics class today; that's going to be pretty easy, i think, and a class called sensation and perception (s&p from here) which was interesting. the microphone kept making this horrible feedback noise and uhm the professor was really funny. so that's going to be good. also a developmental seminar got moved basically just for me, so i'm going to start taking that next week. there is trivia at the "pub" tomorrow night (which is the oncampus bar, btw) so michael and i are gonna go and see how our trivial knowledge stacks up in comparison to the people here. i'm assuming we'll do okay, mike knows A LOT of trivia. maybe he should be a trivialist when he grows up. or something. yeah. anyways i'll let you all know how that goes. also they show movies here every night in this program called doc films, and they have old movies and rare movies and new movies, so i'm going to see a movie this week, and they have a lot of cool ones going on. so if anyone comes and visits me, we can see a movie and play some trivia. nothing too extravagant. snickers has a doctor's appointment on saturday. here is a portion of the conversation i had with the receptionist:
receptionist: okay and what's the bunny's name?
me: (giggling) um. dr. snickers von floppenstein.
receptionist: (without skipping a beat) okay and does he have a nickname?
me: (snickering) yes, uh, snickers.
receptionist: okay and i'm going to need you to bring me some pellets.
me: (still snickering) uhm...
receptionist: you know, honey, like a poop sample.
me: yeah that shouldn't be a problem. he poops a lot.
well i think you all get the drift. i'm basically too giggly to make a doctors appointment for a rabbit. well the whole thing amuses me to start with, i was partially giggling when i dialed the phone. anyways we're going to see a rabbit specialist. that should be special. ohhh...my.
the bunny also learned some new tricks, he started pulling kleenex out of the box. he got the first one out, and looked at it like, "okay what the hell do i do with it now?" then he went and pulled out another one, looked equally confused by it and pulled out a third. then he stopped. but it was cute. hopefully i can get a photo of him doing it.
also, we have this jar which is just a big plastic jar, and the bunny can fit in it. he has gone in it a couple of times, which was really cute and amusing in itself, but today, he stood on his hind legs, put his front little paws up on the jar and rolled it, just like a dog in a circus! it was amazing, but i think it was just accidental, as he hasn't done it again. anyways wow i wrote too much so i had better go now. peace out. word to your mother. lahdeedahdee.
