here is a list of birds that i have seen in chicago that i have not seen in bloomington or other rural parts of southern indiana:

ginormous pigeons
parakeets (yes, parakeets...)
seagulls
orange-breasted robins
peregrine falcons (yes, falcons...)
this is a weird place.
